HARSOL situated approx 65 KM from Ahmedabad on National Highway No 8 towards Modasa via Dehgam.
An ancient village, known to be HARISHCHANDRA NAGARI , as said in past times it was named after “CHAKRAWARTI SATYAWADI RAJA HARISHCHANDRA”, even today the ancient sculpture and remains of ancient times are found, even the remains of old fort are visuals.
Towards the East of Harsol, is river MESHVO , as said was flowing all twelve months a year in ancient times.
Couples who didn't had issues used to have faith in Varahi Mata, business man facing difficulties in business had faith in Varahi mata, in physical problem or arranging marriage of son / daughter used to pray to Varahi Mata in turn Mata helped them to find the way out in their problems, even today people have faith in Mata.
From ASO SUD 1 to ASO SUD 9 (Navratri) endless chanting of MATA Dhun is continued in present time, on ASO SUD POONAM (SHARAD POONAM) our elders have made PRATISHTHA of this temple, it is An Anniversary day, every year Havan is performed, many people attend the same creating lively atmosphere.
People of Harsol has arranged MANDVI in village, people play GARABA around this, every evening from ASO SUD EKAM to KARTAK SUD BIJ, for one month, this could be first village in whole Gujarat where Garba is played for continuous one month.
In HARSOL “SATTAVISH DASHA PORWAD” caste after marriage of son there is a trend of GARBA KADHAVANO RIVAJ , hence as and when people from our caste in Harsol arrange for GARBI in Navratri, used to visit DERAI Mata Temple situated at the entrance of our village.
There is twelve or thirteen ancient VAV in Harsol, and 1200 Hundred year old Statue of Shree GANESHJI was found from HARSOL, which is put on display in the Museum in Mumbai.
