Jotana is situated in North Gujarat Mehsana District approx 16 KM west from Mehsana, years ago approx 150 families of our caste resided here, and were leading in business.

Nearly 100 years ago approx 30 to 35 statue of JAIN religion were found from these village, it assumes that this was Jain dominating state in past, to establish this statues Jain community decided to built JAIN DERASAR, an Artistic pillars were carved from marble and colorful Mandap were decorated in this Derasar, situated in the Centre of the main market was built around in Vikram Samvat 1970 to 1975 , Vaishakh Sud 6 is known to be the Pratishtha Day, this day is celebrated with faith every year, 1 st from the 24 TIRTHANKER Shree RUSHABHDEV BHAGWAN is MUL NAYAK in this Derasar.

Jotana's Sattavish Dasha Porwad Caste Kul Devta is KHETARPAL DADA , and KSHEMKALYANI MATA , it is a trend that after marriage couple comes for Darshan here and then untie the KANKADORA.

Derasar, Shwetamber Murtipujak Hall, Patidar Hall, Laxminarayan Temple, Ramji Mandir, Amba Mata Mandir, Shanker Mandir adds to the fame of this village.

Consists of Grampanchayat Building, Library, Primary and Secondary Schools, Boarding School, Health care Centre etc., most of the traders have settled in city like Mumbai and Ahmedabad for the business, most of the houses of our caste are closed.
