KULDEVI: SHRI MAHAKALI MATA
Situated at a Notified area of Gandhinagar, across the river near Raj Bhavan, connected by State Transport Buses, approx 35 KM away from Ahmedabad connected by all weather road.
On the banks of river Sabarmati nearly 300 families stay in Palaj, consisting of nearly 1400 population, main product is agriculture specially Cotton, wheat, Raido and vegetable.
Most of over caste families follow Jain religion, long back metal statue found while farming, and the same was established in Jain Derasar, the administration is done by Pethapur Jain Sangh, Jain families from Palaj and Pethapur used to perform worship in this Derasar.
Ramji Temple, Shanker Temple and Mahakalika temple is also in this village, Shri Mahakalika is Kuldevi, many goes to this temple for Darshan every month, on Eshtablishment day Chaitra Vad 10 Dhawja is put on the temple, after marriage couple comes here for Darshan and un tie KANKANDORA.
